The purpose of salvation is to be the example to an unsaved world of what God has done for you...
This is my testimony and a witness to what God is capable of doing in a person’s life when you are willing to submit all of who you think you are to becoming aware of everything that is written in the Bible revealing God’s opinion of you.
From my earliest memories I experienced the harshness of life that created in my imagination what I believed to be all I would ever know and I existed at a standard of living that is not the will of God. I saw in other people and I became like what is now thought to be normal and accepted behavior in a culture that has no consciousness of God. And the result of this ignorance in people of not knowing who God intends for them to become, has created a lack of self-respect and an alarming disregard for the consideration of how another person is made to feel.
Having experienced what I’ve been through and then given the opportunity to overcome what was thought to be a life that had no value, it is now my responsibility to tell other people what God has done for me. There is nothing you have experienced that God cannot make right and then have your purpose revealed when knowing the good you can now do with what you have learned from.
The only thing that is of any value in this crazy world we now live are the people you interact with each and every day but you never take the time to ask in sincerity, “How are you doing?”, and then listen to what they say….. You don’t have to listen long to learn about the issues people are dealing with and then become overwhelmed when you discover their problems are just the same as yours and in many cases they’re worse off than you. You think there is nothing you can do to help, so mentally you check out and never offer to help. This is what’s wrong in our, “Enlightened American Culture” and I am going to live the rest of my life to the best of my ability to be as compassionate and selfless in what I do for other people in hope of being able to make right some of what life’s negative has made wrong.
Because life dealt me the hand it has, the stand that I am now taking is to be an example for those who don’t know how to do it for themselves and a voice that challenges those of you who don’t want truth to be revealed. When people can come together regardless of race, economic status, religious beliefs or lack of and then do what you can to help another person feel good about who they are and never allow a need to be unmet, is when a move that is desperately in need will begin to have a far reaching impact in our communities. It is time for change, but not from where the American public has their hope in!
I want to try and help you understand by the example of what I have learned and how it changed my life that the Bible is not a book of rules and regulations telling you what you can and cannot do. It is a book of instruction that gives you a guideline of how you are to live by the way you interact with other people. And doing what you can to make a difference in what really matters in the lives of those around you by first becoming like who you represent. The highest compliment you could ever be given is when you have become the example of a lifestyle that is God’s desire for every person.
As you do this God will get involved in the affairs of your day to day life and together we can make this crazy world a better place, but if you don’t and you continue to live your life only concerned about you, then there is hell to pay! God is compassionate towards you and He is more than willing to forgive but know this truth, “You will be held accountable for the choice you make.”
“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place the sheep at his right hand and the goats at his left. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters you were doing it to me!’ “Then the King will turn to those on the left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’ “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’ “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’ “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.” MATTHEW 25:31-46 (NLT)
“As I was challenged to my face by God Himself in the environment that I allowed to influence what I thought of me, I am now challenging you to come to God just as you are. You do not have to quit doing anything or change in any way to be not only accepted, but welcome in the presence of God whose love for you is unconditional. Through the developing of a relationship learning about God and the purity of His nature, whatever it is you do that’s not pleasing to Him loses its appeal and you turn away (which is the definition of repentance). Little by little God will bring you to maturity to one day stand upright and unashamed knowing your experience was for a purpose He called you to.”
As you make time to study God’s Word and learn the truth of who Jesus is and what He has done, you will find that He is the “I Am”, Right Now God! Jesus is everything you will ever need Him to be.
Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!” JOHN 8:58 (NLT)
There is nothing of greater value than realizing God’s desire for every human being is a place of oneness in spirit where heirs of salvation take possession of everything that’s available to those who with an expectation submit their will to a higher purpose. Sons and Daughters of God revealed to the world, living above the natural plane of sense knowledge while actively fulfilling the great commission every Christian is called to. As living epistles seen and read, we are an expressive demonstration of Jesus’ life and ministry to all people.
It’s my hope that what I have shared will encourage you through a discovery of truth when learning about the person God created you to be. Enjoy the journey. It’s worth the wait!
But with God all things are possible. MATTHEW 19:26b (KJV)
